Erin Masterson originals’ stories!

statue of liberty drawing

Above: “Statue of Liberty Costume, 42nd Street, New York City”

At 42nd Street NYC, people often dress up as icons or characters. The subject of this drawing is a person dressed up as the Statue of Liberty on stilts, with a thumbs up and starburst emanating from the American flag stars. There’s also a lot of detail on reflections, blurring, and details just like in my reference photo I snapped. This took me nearly a month to complete!

“Plumage Extensions”

In this drawing inspired by my late pet parakeets (budgies) parakeets are extending their own plumage onto other parakeets. There are also extreme repetitions of the same birds from different angles.

The picture doesn’t do it justice, but you can also preview in full size preview at https://fineartamerica.com/featured/plumage-extensions-erin-masterson.html

“Nude on a Strawberry”

This nude sits perched atop a moldy strawberry on a grassy field. This lone strawberry I noticed on a soccer field during a game, and snapped a reference, lighted and added the nude in blender, and drew it with great detail, vibrant colors, and humor of course! Some say the strawberry is huge, some that the person is small. You decide! :)

“The MoonStone Comes”

Based on a dream I had about a meteor apocalypse. In the dream a monk ran up to people watching the meteor fall and cried out, “The MoonStone Comes and we receive it! Come with me: you’ve been deceived! Two lovers underneath the MoonStone, kissing underneath the runestone [Stonehenge], kissing underneath the blue stone [the night sky]!”
